We've customized our Yellowstone backpacking package to include two different locations in Yellowstone that will allow guests to relax by a backcountry lake and hike to the peak of the third largest mountain in the Yellowstone region. This package also allows for guests to get out of the backcountry for two nights to enjoy a full day of animal viewing in the famed Lamar Valley and Haden Valley. We’ve teamed up with highly rated lodging providers around the Northeast gateway of Yellowstone to offer comfortable lodging options. We reserve custom cabins or rustic hotel rooms depending on availability, and while backpacking, we provide all backpacking gear, including two person tents and sleeping mats for our guests to enjoy.

Our Yellowstone Backpacking trips allow guests to sleep in comfort while enjoying Yellowstone’s pristine wilderness. We provide all backpacking gear and two person tents, and we utilize a two person per tent backpacking setup. This allows for light weight packs, comfort and safety.

- Footwear (comfortable, worked in hiking boots are recommended)
- Toiletries
During the Wildlife viewing portion of your trip, you will be staying in a cozy cabin or hotel that maximizes comfort. We've quoted for two people per cabin or room with two queen or king beds per cabin or room. Our lodging providers for our wildlife viewing portion of your trip are located on the northeast entrance of Yellowstone; this will allow for optimum animal viewing opportunities.

DAY ONE
Your private guide will pick you up at the airport in Bozeman, MT upon arrival. Start your adventure off with lunch on the way to the trail head where we will go over our backpacking packs and gear to make sure we have all the necessities to enjoy two wonderful nights in Yellowstone’s wilderness during your first backpacking adventure of the trip. Hit the trail in the afternoon and set up camp by a pristine lake by early evening. Spend your time fly fishing or relaxing in a hammock as your guide prepares dinner for your first night in the back country.
DAY TWO
Wake up and enjoy breakfast in Yellowstone’s wilderness. Day Two’s journey will allow you to spend your time fly fishing, hiking to nearby lakes or just relaxing at camp in the hammock as you watch beavers, bald eagles, osprey and more. Your guide will prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner for your enjoyment while in the backcountry. (Specific animals not
guaranteed, as this is not a zoo with scheduled viewing times)
DAY THREE
Wake up and enjoy another breakfast in Yellowstone’s wilderness. Day Three’s adventure will take you out of the backcountry to check into your scheduled cabin/hotel room on the northeast side of Yellowstone to wash up and relax as you rest your tired muscles before tomorrow’s full day of animal watching.
DAY FOUR
Your guide will pick you up at 5:00am and breakfast will consist of pastries on your way to experience the wild animals of Yellowstone. Day Four’s escapades will have you spending your early morning on a Wild West animal safari in Lamar Valley with chances of spotting Wolfs, Grizzles, Pronghorns, Moose, Black Bears, Foxes and more. After lunch, you will visit the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone and Yellowstone Falls for lunch before heading to Haden Valley to try and capture more views of Yellowstone’s wildlife as the sun sets for the day. Head back to your cabin/hotel room to rest for the night before we embark on your second backpacking trip to the third tallest mountain peak in Yellowstone. (Specific animals not guaranteed, as this is not a zoo with scheduled viewing times)
DAY FIVE
Your guide will pick you up at 8:00am, after breakfast. Day Five’s exploration will start with a short soak in a hot spring river before you head to the northwest side of Yellowstone to hike around 6 miles to set up base camp near the foot of the third tallest peak in the park. Relax at camp or head out fly fishing on a small nearby creek. Your guide will prepare lunch and dinner before you retire for the night to get ready for tomorrows long hike to the top of Electric Peak.
DAY SIX
Wake up and enjoy another breakfast in Yellowstone’s wilderness. Day Six’s hike will have you hiking around 8 miles to the top of Electric Peak. Enjoy lunch at the top of the peak as you capture breathtaking views of all of Yellowstone and the Tetons in the south. Head back to camp for dinner and to relax by the fire.
DAY SEVEN
Wake up and enjoy your last breakfast in Yellowstone’s wilderness. After breakfast, you will pack up camp and hike out of Yellowstone’s wilderness to head back to civilization on your way to the airport for your scheduled departure in Bozeman, MT.
